Day One: Awakening
Who: EVERYONE!
What: Awaking up and Orientation to the Cooler
When: Day 1 (September 1st & 2nd)
Where: The Cryopod hall and Residential Area
Warnings: Mostly nudity and language, please label individual threads if need be
Arrival:
Your last memories are a haze as consciousness drifts back into your mind. You awaken on something hard, but lined, an uncomfortably upholstered bed of some kind, and a hiss of escaped air accompanies a door before you opening and raising slowly upward and out of the field of your slowly focusing vision. The entire surface on which you’re reclined rocks forward and places you on solid ground on shaky limbs and the chill of your surroundings sends gooseflesh swelling across every inch of your entirely bare form.
Naked, confused, and disoriented as you try to assess the situation (like the echoing click so loud in the otherwise silent chamber), a spotlight glares to life before you, washing out your vision momentarily. You’re vaguely aware of others, other cries or gasps of shock, other shafts of light directed at other strange bed chambers much like the one in which you so recently awoke.
Before you’re able to shrug off the initial disorientation, a disembodied female voice chimes through the darkness.Despite its slightly cheery tone, something may seem a bit...off about it, but that may just be nerves…
Residential Area:
When the blast doors open, you can see into an area that resembles…. A rundown college dormitory, complete with kitchen and living areas? Well, thankfully, it’s coed, or the boys would just have to sleep in their pods, right? There are many rooms in a corridor, with names flashing on the displays near the door. Maybe you should try and find your own? How far this corridor goes is hard to tell, as everyone’s rooms seem to be near the top of the hall.
However, should you decide to go further down, there’s no lighting and the temperature will drop steadily. Maybe LACUNA doesn’t want you to go down there.
In the kitchen areas, there appear to be other blast doors that might be able to open, but there’s no indication that they have in a very long time. Where they open out to is impossible to see, since windows seem to have been conveniently forgotten.

Whatever your heart desires is pretty much up for grabs here. Just know that LACUNA is watching and listening to everything you do and say.]

OTA
By the time he got his suit on and emerged, his face was swelling and already turning interesting colors. The man heading for the bathrooms he had caught a glimpse of earlier. With every intent to clean up the blood that was still oozing from his wounds.
Re: OTA
Frowning, he decides that, perhaps, this person can enlighten him a bit more on how the facility works, at least in regards to injuries.]
Did LACUNA do that?
[It's entirely possible that she could have, and determining just what constitutes a good thrashing from the AI is important.]
no subject
One might expect that, but no.
[His voice sounds a bit off due to that nice swollen cheek there too. And he will keep heading towards the men’s bathroom as he speaks.]
I thought everyone would have seen what happened.
no subject
[He hadn't particularly notice or cared what was going on around him, and he had a habit of hyper-focusing on things. Clearly, he would have to work on that.
He followed Obi-Wan, deciding it would probably be a good idea to at least superficially get to know the other kidnapees. More information flow that way, after all.]
Anything I can do?
no subject
Unless you can find medical supplies, I don't think so.
[A Jedi healer or a medical droid sure would be handy right now, but apparently the only option available to him is the cryopod or nothing. That he's aware of anyway.]
no subject
[As Obi-Wan looks at himself in the mirror, Darius is looking at his cheek from the same mirror, frowning.]
It might be best to cover it -
[He winces, cocking his head to the side slightly.]
If it's not too deep you should probably use soap.
[It's not the best of advice and he knows it, but he's also far from medically savvy. If Obi-Wan were a computer or some sort of high tech robot, that would be a different story.]
no subject
[From what he's seen, their confines seemed to only have the very basics to see to their... basic needs as LACUNA put it.]
Perhaps some ice instead? If we're lucky, the kitchen might have some.
[He could only hope at least. That would help the swelling.]
no subject
[Not that he's fully expecting them to work, but this is 'The Cooler' it'd be in bad taste if the cooling devices were broken.]
no subject
[He’s still inspecting and trying to clean his wounds as he speaks, a grimace on his face. His voice betrays his weariness, and not just physically. And not just because of their present situation either. He would like nothing more than to just rest right now.]
no subject
[When he returns he has the best bag he can manage with ice in it. Sadly, it'll probably be ruined from the blood. It isn't as if there are a lot of cleaning products to wash things here.]
no subject
Thank you.
[His words are genuine. Glad for some kindness in this place.]
no subject
[He moves to run some water over a rather questionable piece of fabric he found. It's not much, but it's something, and Obi-Wan was going to need all the cleaning he could get for those wounds. It wouldn't do to get gang green on an alien spaceship (or whatever it was).
Rinsing it out as best he could, he wrang it out and offered it to Obi-Wan.]
It's important to show kindness in the face of adversity."
no subject
That it is.
And I hope all of us come to realize that eventually
[He hopes Anakin does sooner rather than later.]

Or near-death, since the shorter haired man ended it rather abruptly. Almost as abruptly as it had begun.
If she hadn't been concerned about getting dressed, she would have rushed over to offer to heal him right away. It's moot now that she is, so she doesn't wait to walk over to him.
"I see that you didn't take LACUNA up on her offer of going back to the pod. If you don't mind, I might be able to heal that up so you don't have to worry about staining up your clothes."
no subject
“You can do that?”
Healers were not an uncommon thing among the Jedi, as various Force techniques could speed up the process. But he was fairly certain she was no Jedi.
no subject
But, she's never been the kind of person to see someone who needed help that she could give and not offer. It's how she got mixed up with Cloud and the others after all.
At his question, she smiles brightly. It's easy now that she's not thinking about Gaia for a change.
"It's really the only thing I can do without any Materia. Cuts, bruises, poisons, and other aliments, I can cure just fine. But don't ask me to set anything on fire or to raise someone from the dead."
no subject
"I admit, that thought had certainly not crossed my mind."
He certainly wouldn't have pegged this nice girl as someone who would commit arson or... be able to bring the dead back to life. That shouldn't even be possible. So he's a bit confused right now.
"But yes, if you are willing, I would greatly appreciate any healing you can offer."
no subject
"Magic is so much easier with specific Materia, and since I don't have it, I have to rely on my latent powers. Stand still for me, okay?"
She steps back and closes her eyes, pulling deep from inside her for the well of magic that she feels residing there. Her hands clasp in front of her and a flash of light starts before the air around her hands moves subtly. When she opens her eyes, she reaches out to take his hand and channels the wind to reach up to take care of all of the bruises, cuts and microbreaks he might have. When she's done, she lets go of his had easily as the wind and light dies away as quickly as they appeared.
"All better."

He blinks once and then raises a hand to touch his face. The Jedi can't help but marvel a bit as the pain is gone and so is the swelling. His face seeming to be as good as new. While not certain how she's able to do that, his gratitude would not go unexpressed.
"Thank you."
no subject
She's not the one to back down though when she can be useful. She has to live up the legacy left to her by a certain SOLDIER.
"You're very welcome. You might want to soak your clothes to make sure the blood doesn't set in. There are a few spots, true, but blood is really the worst to get out."
Trust her. She knows.
no subject
"Oh, you have a point."
He would see to that. They at least had been provided two sets of clothes.
"Though I would like to ask the name of the kind soul who healed me."
no subject
Not that she's really been injured that much, but she's had to get blood out of sky blue fabric and it's not at all easy.
"Oh, yes, I guess I should have introduced myself before I touched your face." Whoops! She puts her hands behind her back and clasps them together. "I'm Aerith Gainsborough of Gaia. And you are?"
no subject
He smiled though at her introduction and dipped his head politely. Still very glad that he can actually do that without pain.
"Obi-Wan Kenobi of... Coruscant I suppose."
Right now, where he's from is a bit complicated.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Gainsborough, despite our current circumstances."
no subject
She shrugs happily and unclasps her hands so they can talk easily while stepping back a few steps.
"Please, just call me Aerith. I've never been 'Miss Gainsborough'. I don't think I'd know to respond to it."
no subject
"Not so strange considering how big the galaxy is."
He's assuming they're still in is actually. Why wouldn't they be?
"Though I've never heard of Gaia. You must come from some unknown region."
