Days 8-11 - Test 1: Aptitude
Who: All Initiates
What: LACUNA begins her testing phases
When: Days 8-11
Where: Area 2 - Testing Grounds
Warnings: To be updated, but as this is a testing regimen, it will most likely contain language, violence, mentions of sensitive topics (up to and including pondering the murder of children)
At 06:00 hours on the morning of Day 8, every terminal, be it the one in the living quarters or one of the personal terminals within the rooms, begins broadcasting the sound of a klaxon. This sound, loud enough to reverberate, continues for 30 seconds before it ends as abruptly as it began. The lights raise and after they are fully illuminating whatever area your character may have been rudely awoken in, LACUNA's cold voice fills the silence.
As incredibly forthcoming as she's been previously, any attempts to question her further are met with cold silence.
(OOC: The Test will be divided by day and function, and for more information, check out the sweet prompts below, also organized by date! You're not required to use this post, but it may be easier if you haven't found a partner! Feel free to make your own posts, either as actions or network posts as well! Remember, it isn't 100% necessary to obey her commands...)

"Good Morning, Initiates. Today will begin Testing. Our first Test Round will be for Aptitude measurement only. As such, blows that would otherwise be fatal will spare you. You have one hour to prepare. Afterwards, proceed to the cryopod chamber for further instruction. Thank you."

But if he thinks that his behavior hasn't been watched carefully by everyone there, not just LACUNA, he is sadly mistaken. She's always been observant, because that's just who she is. And he hasn't exactly made himself inconspicuous.
She lets him approach the terminal and try to access the simulation to be tested on and isn't surprised at all to see that it doesn't activate. Somehow, just somehow, she keeps from being smug.
"They require at least two people. I know because I've helped others complete their own tests before now."

Anakin looks at her, making a point at looking displeased.
"Since you have done this before, then, you should know how this works." - She said she wanted to help, right?

Although, honestly, she's being stern but not unfriendly.
"Well, the problem is that they're all random. Depending on what we get, is what we'll face."
I hope this works.
He doesn't comment as the room shifts around them at last, but Anakin turns slightly to observe the setting that is building around them. For a moment everything was just blindingly bright, before a darker setting assembled itself around them.
They were in a large room with high, black and red walls covered with intricate yet vicious carvings. Large windows on one side of the room showed a wide, gloomy landscape. Complete with thundering storm clouds blocking out all sunlight and rivers of lava flowing through the seemingly lifeless land somewhere down below- Well. Wherever they were, it was pretty high up and Anakin's frown deepened. It's about then that he catches some voice, apparently directed at him.
"--is ready, my Lord."
Anakin blinks twice and looks down to where the voice came from only to spot some strange creature groveling just before his boots.
"What?!" Anakin says sharply, more out of surprise than anything else and he takes an instinctive step backwards to which the creature flings and backs away as well, fear just all too clearly written over its face and posture.
"Please don't kill me!" it begs and looks from Anakin over to Aerith, the fear on its face not lessening one bit. Instead, the being quickly bows its head in fear and it babbles on frantically while backing away further "My Queen- I didn't mean to-! I'm unworthy. I'm sorry. I'm sorry!"
[[ ooc: They get to be Evil Overlords for this one. At least that's what the NPCs will see them as. They're surrounded by nothing but useless, typical canon fodder minions that keep promising to bring them The Princess - which shall be their item. ]]

And then she sees the creature pleading on the ground and she takes one step forward to protect him if she has to.... until she hears what it's saying.
Please don't kill me and My Queen are about all that make it into her comprehension before she turns her head to stare at the other tester. He'd been called 'My Lord'.
And when she looks at her clothes, it makes sense. She looks like one of those rejects from the Honey Bee Inn in Sector Six. Her long hair is pulled into a heavy bun on her head and she feels as if she's wearing far too much makeup for anything she'd want to do. But, honestly, it's the black gloves to her elbows and the boots with heels that could stab a Zolom with that gives it away. She's the evil queen in this story.
Welp.
"Stop that. Repeat what you said before." She doesn't say it harshly, but it's not as softly as she might normally speak. She has to play the part, right? "What are you talking about?"

But that's beside the point. He can't help but notice the clear distress in the creature that is... Serving them. Which in itself is a thought he doesn't necessarily like. Why had this simulation had to give them slaves of all things.
He catches Aerith' question and his attention snaps to her, instinctively raising his hand in a halting gesture "Don't--" 'treat him like that' - He wants to say, but catches himself. Shaking his head, Anakin reminds himself of the situation. That this is a test. A simulation and nothing more.
And yet he grimaces when he looks down at the creature himself "Yeah... What she said." How big are their chances that they had to set these beings free, he wonders.
The creature, however, looks confused for a moment, but then quickly notices that it is still alive. Which is a circumstance it doesn't wish to risk, regardless how strange its masters are acting.
"Dinner! Dinner is ready!" it replies quickly, scurrying over and waving in the direction of another room. But it stops before reaching the door, remembering something and covering again in result "...and we are sorry, but the Princess... The Princess has not yet been acquired."
no subject
What sort of people are they supposed to be really? She's not even sure that she can play the part of someone who would kill another person for something so stupid.
"Bring us the one responsible for the Princess' acquisition. We'll wait on dinner."
It nods before rushing out of the room, the door slamming closed.
"Why would be after a princess? Is she some sort of token captive?"
